千海 博美 /イラストレーター
桑沢デザイン研究所卒業。
2008～2010年東京版画研究所にて版画制作。
2010年～版木へ着色して彫る手法で製作を始める。
2011年鈴木成一装丁イラストレーション塾受講。現在フリーで活動中。

技法について
ホームページに掲載しているすべての作品は、
ベニヤ板にアクリルガッシュで着彩し、彫刻刀で彫りをいれる技法で制作しています。
版画で得られるタッチと、アクリルで得られる色の鮮やかさがあります。
使用しているベニヤ板は主に2種類。テーマや雰囲気に合わせて使い分けています。
・シナベニヤ（色が白く、目が詰まっている、木版画用の版木）＜写真左＞
・ラワンベニヤ（色が濃く、目は荒い、一般的にいう「ベニヤ板」）＜写真右＞
【シナ】
板の表面がなめらかで細かい描写ができます。木版の明度が高いため強い色・暗い色が映えます。絵具の発色も鮮やか。
【ラワン】
板の表面がざらっとしていて独特の擦れが出ます。木版の地色が濃いため白や黄色など淡い色・明るい色が映えます。絵具の発色は鈍め。
